My 2022 Fundraising Plans

 Hi All,

It's that time again - time to raise some money by getting out and doing something new!

This year, I've upped the ante by signing up to do 3 individual challenges.  The aim is to raise (at least) £444 for Mind in Somerset.  I am doing it in memory of Yeovil Town Captain, Lee Collins, who sadly took his own life in March last year.  I'd like to think that my small contribution to the charity will help to ensure that the service and listening ear is there for people who need it in the future.

Challenge 1 - April 24th

Wincanton Triathlon - This is a new one for me.  I've never done a triathlon before!  I can't swim very well and I'm not all that keen on running to be honest.  Hopefully the cycling part will be OK!

Challenge 2 - 1-7th May

"Miles 4 Mind" - Lee Collins Memorial Ride.  Leaving Huish Park and riding 500 miles to several of Lee's former clubs and returning back in time for Yeovil's last home match of the season.  We will be visiting: Northampton Town FC, Mansfield FC, Port Vale FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC & Forest Green Rovers FC.

Challenge 3 - 29th May

RideLondon-Essex 100 - The iconic RideLondon 100 mile cycle!  Taking a new route this year leaving Victoria Embankment, heading into Essex and ar

ound before finishing on the legendary Tower Bridge.  I have attempted to do this in previous years, but Covid stopped me!  This year, fingers crossed, it all goes to plan!

I hope to raise at least £444 to represent Lee's shirt number during his Glovers career - #4.

Thanks for taking the time, and I hope to keep this updated over the next couple of months!
